We are currently working with the Espians to complete the full WikiHouse site, which will include download-links to the plugin and template files, a live library of openly contributed designs, comment tools for discussion, and a full user guide with guidelines for designers and assemblers.
We are also looking to finalise our initial design models following lessons from the prototype, and will be sharing these via the website in the coming days. We hope people will download these early designs and begin to adapt and improve on them so that the WikiHouse process can grow into a genuinely open project.
At the Gwangju Design Biennale 2011 four sections of WikiHouse (each 1.1 metres wide) will be constructed. Two of these sections will be assembled by a group of volunteers at the exhibit, which will present itself as an open community construction site. In addition the fourth section of WikiHouse, to be erected in late September 2011, will be built from openly contributed designs as voted on via the website and selected by the organisers of the event.
Please watch this space or follow the story on Twitter via #wikihouse for news on the launch of the full site and a chance to contribute to the Biennale and to be part of the on-going WikiHouse project! In the mean time, if you'd like to get involved or give us your feedback please feel free to drop us a line on hello@wikihouse.cc.
Thank you! The WikiHouse Team - 14/08/2011
