WikiHouse
"Between 1902 and 1906 this building arrived in the back of a train. It was a prefabricated building… as our family is expanding and we want our house to adapt… we realised it would be great if we were able to mirror the prefabrication in the extension… which led us to WikiHouse."
When Ellie May and her family decided to extend their historic prefabricated home, the choice of building method felt like it had to match the spirit of the original. WikiHouse blocks were cut by Duke Makes in Leeds and assembled on site - quick to build, suited to tight access, and in keeping with a house that had itself arrived flat-packed over a century before.
