Design a building type

You may want to use this service if:

• You are looking to build multiple homes or buildings, potentially on multiple sites.
• To support your work testing feasibility, or when developing initial schemes as part of a bid for sites or funding, or
• You are working with a 'design and build' contractor who is happy to work to an outline design.

Contact us to tell us about your project. If appropriate we will contact you to arrange an online call to discuss your project, and what you need. We will agree a scope for what you'd like us to produce,  a plan for working together and a proposed fee.

Once you're happy to proceed, we will start work. Outputs may often include 3D models, renders, drawings and a cost estimator spreadsheet.

This service does not include

• Producing site drawings for planning or tender.
• Checking your scheme against relevant building or planning regulations (although we will always try to take all known regulations into account during the design process)
• Checking or certifying the structural performance, unless agreed (although, again, we will always try to take structural factors into account)
• Producing a full detailed, ready-to-build project design and specification (including foundations, cladding, linings etc) although we may make suggestions for these.

To use this service you will need to provide us with as much information as you can about your design goals and requirements. This may include any sketches, drawings or existing budget expectations you have, and images of other projects that have inspired you.
